The history of acoustic guitars in Japan began in the 1960s. Yamaha released the FG-180 as the first mass-produced acoustic guitar made in Japan. Serial Number: Illegible, circa 1970. Personally, I consider it one of those lost technologies that cannot be replicated with modern technology.
